The Board of Trustees

David joined the board of trustees as chair elect in early 2024.  He has had a long military career in the Royal Air Force, serving as a pilot across a number of roles and different aircraft types.  He has seen operational service in Iraq and Afghanistan, amongst other locations, and was also privileged to fly Her Majesty the Queen, serving on 32 (The Royal) Squadron.  Alongside operational service, David undertook a number of staff appointments, including serving in the Ministry of Defence in London and as a development pilot alongside industry colleagues on the Airbus A400M.  Since leaving the RAF as a Group Captain in 2020, he has been self-employed in consultancy and advisory roles across the Defence and Government sector and latterly involved in transformation at the strategic level.  Outside of work,  and following a lifetime of sporting participation, he is a busy volunteer coach in both junior cricket and rugby and a willing (but aged!) touch rugby player and occasional cricketer.

Victoria has worked for over 25 years in education.  She has been a primary teacher, a governor of two schools, MD of an EdTech business, worked for AQA Education and is now a freelance consultant and project manager.  Victoria loves a challenge and was a member of the first all-female expedition to the North Pole.  Since then, she has been back to the Arctic twice, run multiple marathons and has climbed Kilimanjaro.  She is a motivational speaker and uses her adventure experiences to run resilience workshops for schools and businesses with a message of ‘Why not, what’s the worst that can happen?’ 

Victoria is very involved in the life of Langridge Church and is currently a member of the PCC.  Her son is currently in his final year at Prior Park College (2023) having joined the Paragon nursery at the age of three.  

Faye Fraser's education career has taken her through schools in England, Bahrain, Singapore, Kazakhstan, India and Saudi Arabia, giving her a broad perspective on education across different cultures, curricula and communities. 

Currently Deputy Head Academic and Sixth Form at Battle Abbey School, Faye has held a range of senior leadership roles spanning academic strategy, teaching and learning, curriculum development, assessment, pastoral care, Sixth Form and futures education. She has worked across the IB Diploma, A Level, GCSE and BTEC programmes and has particular experience in supporting schools to think carefully about how curriculum, opportunity and student experience come together. 

Having experienced international education herself as a student, as well as spending much of her professional career within it, Faye brings both a personal and professional appreciation of the impact a strong school community can have on young people and their families. She is delighted to join the Board of Trustees at Prior Park Schools and looks forward to contributing her experience and perspective to the work of the Board. 

A Governor since 2019, Tony was educated at Prior Park College (1972-1977) before moving onto study mathematics at Queens’ College, Cambridge. After over 25 years’ experience in investment banking in the City, he spent eight years as Finance Director in the oil sector. He is now Director and owner of a financial and investor relations consultancy, Caros Consulting Limited. Tony is also Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of JKX Oil & Gas plc.

A Hong Konger of Portuguese heritage, Tony grew up in both Hong Kong and Lisbon but now divides his time between Bath and Twickenham.

David studied undergraduate and a masters of law at Swansea University, before training and qualifying as a solicitor in local government. David has spent his career working with local government on all aspects of employment law as well as data protection.

David is a keen archer and can be seen on archery field on several weekends a year either shooting or officiating as a judge. 

Ed Flower has spent the past 25 years building and scaling global technology consulting businesses. Passionate about innovation and technology used to drive business growth, today Ed leads an AI consultancy, working with technology companies and global brands to unlock the potential of new technology.

Ed’s passion for technology and advertising spills over into Education. He guest-lectured at Greenwich University, and more recently, he sits on the Advisory Board of the MA and MSc in Marketing Communication and Digital Marketing at the University of Westminster.

As a dyslexic thinker himself, he advocates for the use of technology in education. He believes that it will aid neurodivergent children in their learning and help them reach their full potential.

Ed has a love for the outdoors and adventure that started when he was a student taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme. He has led several expeditions for young explorers as part of the Dorset Expeditionary Society (DES) to India, Ecuador, and the Pyrenees, along with many a weekend spent in Wales and on Dartmoor.

James and his four brothers were all educated at Prior Park and his father was a governor of the school. He then studied dentistry at Edinburgh University. After graduation, he worked initially in hospitals and then moved into general practice until retirement. He was involved for many years in the vocational training of newly qualified dentists.

James has three daughters, four grandchildren and when not spending time with his family he enjoys watching rugby at all levels, playing tennis, golf and sailing. He also is a volunteer at his local hospice.

Jayne has spent the last few years as a Chair, Non-Executive Director and Trustee. Her most recent position until April 2024 was as Chair of University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). She joined NHS Charities Together as a Trustee in September 2021 and has recently been appointed Chair of Somerset Cricket Foundation.

Jayne spent more than 30 years in human resources and organisational development, working in executive director roles with the Boots Company, Whitbread, Royal Mail, Punch Taverns, Barratt Developments and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Jayne enjoys cricket, travel, Nordic walking, swimming and yoga.

Nic studied Business Studies at the University of West London. There followed a 30 year career in international banking working in London, Paris and Tokyo where he specialised in private equity and leveraged finance,
In the last few years he has gained both executive and non-executive board expertise whilst working for multiple local and national charities and voluntary organisations. He is currently the Chair of Governors at Cirencester Primary School.

An avid follower of rugby (he is a Twickenham Stadium Tour Guide!) he enjoyed sailing and retains a love of watching cricket and divides his time between Mortlake and Cirencester.

After serving for 3 years as an Associate Governor of Prior Park School Gibraltar, Paul was appointed as a Trustee of Prior Park Schools in May 2024. Paul worked for 34 years in the Gibraltarian education system. The first 15 years were in the same building where Prior Park Gibraltar is now housed, before moving on to The Advisory Service at The Gibraltar Department of Education. In 2002 he took up the headship of Bishop Fitzgerald Middle School until retirement in 2015.

Huw has worked in independent co-educational boarding schools for over a decade. He is currently Deputy Head (Pastoral) at Dauntsey’s School and has extensive experience in teaching, safeguarding, pastoral care and boarding. Prior to joining Dauntsey’s, Huw worked at St Edward’s School, Oxford, where he held a number of leadership positions, including Assistant Head of Sixth Form (Universities), Head of History, and Housemaster. 

Huw was educated at Llandovery College, where he was an Academic Scholar, before studying Law at the University of Birmingham. After graduating, he spent a year in New Zealand as a Graduate Tutor at Whanganui Collegiate School. He subsequently completed a PGCE at Homerton College, Cambridge, followed by a master’s degree in Education at Wolfson College, Cambridge. Alongside his career in education, Huw has maintained a strong academic interest in history and was awarded a Master of Studies in Medieval History, with Merit, from Mansfield College, Oxford. 

Matthew became a Trustee of Prior Park Schools in September 2026.  He was educated at Prior Park College (1984 - 1991) before studying Modern History at Merton College, Oxford.  He qualified as a solicitor at Slaughter and May and worked for 30 years in the City advising corporate boards, government and regulated institutions.   

Matthew has four (almost adult) children, is an avid reader and enjoys running, skiing and watching rugby and cricket.
