Students take Rite of Confirmation with Bishop Zammit

Today was a very special day for our school community as seven of our Year 8 & 9 students took their Rite of Confirmation at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Crowned.

The students renewed the promises they made at their Baptisms and then deepened their relationship with God as they received the Sacrament of Confirmation from The Right Reverend Carmel Zammit, Bishop of Gibraltar.

Families and Sponsors of the Confirmandi gathered in the Cathedral to celebrate the special day, along with Headmaster, Peter Watts and School Lay Chaplain, Dr Marisa March.

Dr March has been leading the group of students over the past few months to reflect on their faith and grow their knowledge and love of God, in preparation for this day.

The students left the Cathedral to enjoy the rest of the day with their families.

Creating a dyslexia friendly school

Building an inclusive school is hard work, requiring a clear vision and commitment. It’s a journey that we are only at the start of at Prior Park School but it’s one that the staff team is fully committed to and after 27 years teaching I have never been prouder to say I am a member of a school than I am to say I work here.
