Wednesday was Challenge Day, and although the morning was spent competing amongst the Houses, the afternoon was filled with charity work for various local charities. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to give back to the community and do something for those who do so much for Gibraltar, its people and the environment.

- Eliott House's chosen charity is the Nautilus Project. A local charity we believe is vitally important as Gibraltar is surrounded by the sea and must be protected at all costs. While the initial plan for Eliott was to go to Eastern Beach to carry out a Beach Clean-Up, the unpredictable weather made it difficult to do so. Instead, this gave the students a creative opportunity to make designs for posters/t-shirts/mugs/laser cut products, which will be shared with the Nautilus club in school to actually produce the student-designs and eventually sell at fundraising events. It was great to see different ideas come together and to highlight how important it is to do our part as a community to help and support the marine life that makes Gibraltar's waters so unique and wonderful.

- As House Leader for Rooke House at PPSG, I am extremely proud of my House today. Not only did they produce amazing pitches to win the Dragons Den competition earlier in the day but in the afternoon we all visited the Cancer Relief Centre to do some volunteering.

One of the things I love about working at PPSG is that we actively encourage ALL our students to give back to the local community in Gibraltar. All my students spent the afternoon cleaning the outside area in preparation for the visiting service users and creating an amazing mural on an outside wall for them. In addition, in preparation for Easter, the students created Easter cards and Easter decorations for their celebrations coming up. 

The Centre is the Rooke House chosen Charity and the visit went so well we are already organising our next one. Well done Rooke! 

- Wellington spent their afternoon helping in Father Charlie's soup kitchen and in St Theresa's church. Students peeled 26kg of potatoes and helped sort cutlery. Inside the church they helped polish candlesticks which will be used by local churches during Lent but most importantly during holy week.
