COBIS (Council of British International Schools) is an association with over 500 member schools around the world. It aims to support and represent its members in a number of ways such as providing quality assurance through its accreditation scheme and providing professional development and networking opportunities.
Data shows that COBIS schools outperform UK schools at GCSE and A Level with a higher percentage of students achieving A*/A grades and 92% of school leavers from COBIS schools going on to University*.
In 2017, Prior Park School was nominated as a Candidate School for full COBIS Member Status. Next week, Mr John Coombes, Deputy Head at The British School in the Netherlands, will visit the school to determine whether Prior Park should be awarded full COBIS Membership.
The process is based upon high standards, rigorous scrutiny and the best of British and international practice.
Prior Park School strives to provide the highest quality education to all students and it continues to open up the school community to inspections and compliance visits with the aim of further improving the entire learning experience for students.
Results of next week’s visit will be shared at the end of January.
