Spring Concert

Last night, students and staff of Prior Park School, Gibraltar, hosted their first Spring Concert for family and friends.

Father Jonathan kindly permitted use of the beautiful Sacred Heart Church for an evening of musical entertainment from the students and even a performance from the staff choir!

Prior Park Choir opened the show with a perfectly harmonised rendition of ‘Killing me Softly’ and led the way for soloists, some stunning piano and flute performances as well as some more upbeat choral numbers.

Half way through the concert, the Prior Park Staff Choir took the stage for an A capella performance of Kom!, surprising the students and parents!

The school choir brought the concert to a close with a hauntingly beautiful performance of ‘Christ is Enough’, finishing to rapturous applause.

Guests were then welcomed back to the school hall for refreshments and a few more performances from the Year 8, 9 and 10 bands. Things took more of a turn towards Rock and Roll as the drum kit and electric guitars made appearances.

The Year 8 band got a little wild with their performance of ‘Wild Thing’ and the Year 10 band got the whole audience rocking with numbers from Arctic Monkeys and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

A huge thank you and well done to Miss Amsellem and Mrs Easter, along with the students and staff who made the evening such a great success.
