Local Community welcomed for Easter activities

Prior Park students welcomed families from the local community to take part in Easter themed games and activities last week. The afternoon was led by the Sports Leadership Team and students in the Charity & Community Club.

Headmaster, Mr Watts, commented “For me, our greatest moments as a school community to date, which I truly intend to increase in frequency and reach, have been when we have extended our friendship out to those beyond our punch-locked gates and have sought, in just a small way to 'love our neighbours as ourselves'. In four years' time I hope that every child in our school can point to their service to others. Seeing our teenage pupils engaging so generously and freely with younger children, with greater challenges and fewer privileges than them, last Wednesday brought an unanticipated and overwhelming bolt of emotion to me. I was so proud to be part of a compassionate and caring community”.
