Author visits Prior Park for research on linguistics

Last week, we had a visit from Sebastián Montero, the author of a number of books on linguistic variation and language contact in the Campo de Gibraltar area.

Sebastián has a degree in Linguistics from the University of Cadiz and is currently completing my PhD from the University of Malaga. The purpose of his visit was to test and update some research he has done on the way in which bi-lingual people switch between two languages. He spent some time observing classes and listening to the students speak and will use the data collected in his thesis, which is due for completion in 2018.
